It's not often you hear in public strong words about sacrifice coming from a Marine general. But then this is one general who knows all too well what sacrifice really means.

Lieutenant General John Kelly told a packed ballroom in St. Louis recently that there is a growing feeling among service members that the general public isn't even aware of the price being paid by those fighting overseas. He made these remarks just days after learning of his own son's death in Afghanistan.
